I think you just have to make a blog that stands out. I browse by most recent blog posts, but a lot of it is just "I need a friend" or "I'm new to spacehey" or "life update number 203053460" But I would interact with more if it was something that appeals to me

There's no algoritm to push blogs, so people have to manually seek out blogs they want to see. Plus, I'm not sure how many people even look at recent blogs or many new blogs at all, much less interact with them, since a lot of them are just asking for friends, misc updates or just rambles.
