I need to start writing again

i'm still not sure if this poem is good. nothing rhymes, but it's the feeling of it that i love.

how do abandoned dogs feel

the ones who don’t receive any love

anymore

is it like us?

am I the damn dog?

all I want is for you

to let me in

but you keep stepping on my tail

and I whine

so loud

I bit you

countless times I tore your flesh

is that why you keep punishing me? 

I whine

and I come back

asking for more

step on me again

kick my guts

it’s attention either way, right

and I need your attention

affection

will you ever learn?

to love me?

such an ugly and desperate dog

it just wants to be loved

I shouldn’t have bit you
