It has been an exceptionally dark and grey start to the year in Sweden. Day after day, the sky has been wrapped in thick clouds, and the heavy, damp air has made time feel like it's standing still. Mornings have been sluggish, afternoons barely distinguishable from evenings, and the lack of sunlight has weighed on both mood and energy.
But today, something shifted. For the first time in what feels like forever, the clouds parted. A sliver of blue stretched across the sky, hesitant at first, then growing bolder. And then—finally—the sun. Pale and distant, yet warm in its own quiet way, it touched the frozen ground and reflected off windows, reminding us what we’ve been missing.
It’s almost strange how quickly everything changes with just a little light. The air feels crisper, footsteps on the pavement seem lighter, and suddenly there’s hope that winter won’t last forever.
