Redoing my room!

Winter break blog #1

I have no idea what to write, also I'm writing it on 06.02.2025 (to my fellow Americans, your date system is just stupid idc, still love y'all tho), so the blog will have an update on the day I'm gonna post it with actual information! (As in the post will be already completed)

I started redoing my room some time ago (before new years) and it started by me, with the help of my sister, tearing down wallpaper. The room sat with bare, ugly walls for MONTHS until 05.02.2025. That's when I and my dad started to get the progress bar moving.

I had to put all my stuff in boxes, the simple task turned into five big boxes total taking up space in the living room (I have a lot of things). I really didn't want to do it because, my god, it was exhausting! I spent on it 3-4 hours, and that's right after school (6 hours + 2 hours in a bus (I normally have 7-8 hours so I'm considering it good luck)).

 My back hurt so BAD. After all my stuff were secured in boxes, the time came for my furniture, it had to be moved out of my room. The wardrobe and two dressers went out of the door, but bed and desk stayed (I still sleep there), it was too big to move without taking it apart. When the furniture was out we (me and my dad) started to get the walls done, we had to get rid of these little pieces of wallpaper and glue that stayed behind. He had that really loud machine that was polishing the wall, I think? Not sure. Anyway, when he was doing that I took out a few screws from the walls (I had a shelf) and just near the floor to take out the strips, or whatever these wooden things are called. When I get done with that I helped with walls. Unfortunately that's all we did for that day because my mom had to sleep and we didn't want to be loud, so I swept the floor and moved my bed and desk to it's respectful places and went to sleep (I did shower, no way the dust, grime and cobwebs stayed on me). ↑that's me if you even care

This morning I got ready for school and I'm writing this in math class, my dad works on my room right now, so I probably will update it later this evening, then the whole thing will be updated one more and final time on 14th (START OF MY WINTER BREAK💥🔥‼️)

Update #1

So it has happened, I was left without my room. I'm left homeless. No walls to call my own, stuck in this void called living room. No space to tell people to get out of, as none of it is mine.

Now what happened? Not much, my dad finished polishing the walls and sprayed them with something for mold. It stunk!! He said it had chlorine in it, so that's probably why. And so I'm left sleeping on my mom's bed (she works nightshifts this week, so it's free. My dad sleeps on the couch, he just likes to watch TV - they're happily married), and my room is a danger zone for at least this night.

 Unfortunately my last update for now, will update again on 14th!♡ On the bright side, I did set up my shitty ahh computer in a corner of the kitchen. (Photo taken by my sister and tempered with by me using ibis paint x)

Update #2

The winter break finally started (Happy Valentines day if you celebrate it). My room is almost ready to paint! I don't know what colours I want yet, but I think that painting it white for now is good enough! Not much happened since last update. The walls just go all the things they needed and my floor got dirty from wall mortar that fell on it. So yeah, gonna have to clean that up and we're ready to paint! I will have to see through the boxes of my stuff, get the furniture ready to be moved again and we're done. If it gets enough traction I will update it one last time when I finish my room. Today I'm gonna print posters for it, I can't stand having bare walls!

I know it's probably not as satisfying as y'all would've liked but I'm just sharing what happens in my life, it doesn't have to interesting. What should I post about next? I have an idea for my second post, but no clue what to write about after that, please, leave suggestions in the comments!
