02. motivation, new things for my room, recent enjoyments, valentine's sweets deco~ ❤︎ casual hangouts, and picking up the pace

month of love,

      slowness, (yet) change,

       sweets...

and surge of enjoyment~

happy february 

this month passed by incredibly slow despite how it's shortened but i've also had quite the odd schedule these days...( ' □ ' *) each day was either Jam-Packed or just sloww~~( ˘ · ˘ ~) in general so i guess there is maybe no schedule at all actually

as a result this is how i've been spending the days (very candidly)

infinite candle glitch because i finally bought a candle warmer (LOL) it works so much better than i expected...however i've been warming it everyday of this month to be in tune with valentines so now the scent is almost gone with the wax still being in tact (^^;)))ゞ”

i also switched out my fluffy pink rug 

in hindsight beginning of 2月 was more eventful because i've begun finding more room decor and figured i should ditch my pink rug since it just doesn't look good with high traffic areas.....mission impossible to find a nice pink rug so i opted for a grey one that was smaller (; ›ω‹ ) but now my room looks a lot more spacious^^

all within the same week, i also dyed my hair black but it got a little too dark and felt like i looked crazy cause it's darker than my natural hair and had that plastic-y synthetic shine to my hair whenever you finish dyeing it like woah...i felt like i was wearing a wig

tommy feb6 day with a side of vanilla froyo with oreo and cheesecake bites was very splendid

&more ceramic painting 

i picked up my mug from last month and it turned out a little silly but not bad [haven't gotten a good pic of it yet] so after arriving to pick it up we went for a second round  this time i painted a bowl and ice cream cup 

went to pick it up after the kiln （´㉨｀*）

i've been really into mint choco these days and got this koguma plush before we stopped by to paint and i'm quite pleased with the outcome\...ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ

i've been going out frequently because:

 i have nothing better to do (sure why the hell not)

 (that is all)

went out for paik's noodle and tried tangsuyuk for the first time with stir fried jjajangmyeon and it was so good... the way i'm out of the loop in foodieland cause i only had interest in paik's after watching culinary class war LOL

and this sulbing bowl we got after...i don't really enjoy true yogurt where it's tart but the strawberry sauce was really sweet so i think it tasted a lot better than i expected

i've been on a massive movie marathon this month and this was such an easy watch  i don't think i've seen yu aoi films besides lily chouchou but the scenes were sooo pretty (うん)...i rarely watch japanese films that shoot in the countryside (｡-㉨-)..

『A Gentle Breeze in the Village』 is a bit similar..

 did not prepare any choco cause i got lazy (›´ω`‹ )

first year i didn't make choco but i managed to make sweets deco for the occasion

it took a few days to let these dry but the oreo mold i got dirt cheap was kind of off becos why does it look like that [hmm]..i made a bunch but only three made the cut LOL

here's my mini commentary to all the things i decorated

❤︎ DSi case ❤︎

i saved up a few things within the past months to deco and i finally got around to decorating my ds but i decorated this last and underestimated the amount of deco cream you need if you want fuller shells (´°ω°;)

❤︎ pencil case ❤︎

i realized the trick to sweets deco is to be extremely generous with how much you use per item for nicer piping but i'm still dookie at piping shells or stars so i tried long swirls and this was so much more manageable^^

i'm dying cos i knew for sure they'd peel off in one go once they dried (silicone material) but my tactic was to peel it off once it dried and use silicone glue to put it back on and viola...

*on the actual day,

last min milk tea and fried chicken for dinner with my friend and took life4cuts since they had valentine frames~ these are old pics but i will include them for the vibes

finding a monitor

ㄴ this month includes searching for a display i both like and can use for work and i feel like i'm being psychologically tortured cause after three months i bit the bullet and spent my grad money on a studio display//////finding a monitor stand was just as bad since the only one i was set on getting was from oframe but they only ship domestically (too lazy to use a proxy for something xtremely heavy)

luckily i found a similar one from 1off

it costed me so much to ship over (like 80 dollars) but when it came in it was heavy as hell so i get it...it came in before my display so i set it up and was kind of freaking out cause it's more translucent than i thought (incl. spending all my doubloons on a display and monitor stand)

i received a lecture from my friend because my taste is too expensive and particular after telling her i spent a shit ton on a monitor stand and that it better be beautiful

more plans, mini trips, and outings

said yes to a mini day trip with my friend on the day of because she had a day off work so we went out to grab food and browsed through shops and the only thing we walked out with was two cans of matcha and a handful of bocchi gacha merch cause i spent forty stupid dollars and sold out the bocchi gachapon stand cause i wanted this maid pin so bad (　-。-)

even after emptying the stands it wasn't in there in the first place

ive's latest physical album is real epicness...the same studio did lesserafim and nct wish work recently which is right on the mark cause i've been loving all of their work (unknowingly) cause i'm a fan of the editorial design resurge going on

they also did all of my favorite nct wish spreads / riize branding / doyoung album / (most recent) & h2h which #hugeLOLmoment cause clearly these all have a common denominator........

need to respect the commitment to this concept because i was slightly tuned in for the next release after listening to i do me ◖₍ᐢ. ̫ .ᐢ ₎◗ ˞͛♪ super fun and going through their website was just as interesting (*^ –^)/

kpop releases in general have been really good so i say '25start was filled with music perf for the upcoming spring~~*

heard ppl saying kiiikiii and h2h first releases were boring but maybe i've developed broader taste cause i care about concept/visual direction just as much and They were Not lacking in that department so my interest has piqued...

 speaking of spring,

winter went by so fast because it's been warming up but this is currently my favorite time of the year since it's still cloudy and i love the period of transition from winter to spring

the only moment i like is stepping out and feeling slight warmth and it's briefly sunny for a second. after that one breakthrough i will go back inside for the day (stepping out = fetching the mail)

my display came in^^

 currently struggling to develop my setup now that i have this enormous stationery monitor that i've never had before in my life so it's hard committing where i want things to be

Extremely Gargantuan

after a week of rearranging some things (moving my pegboard up, redid some wall decor, storing away files) this is somehow coming along  this investment still makes me anxious cause i've never spent this much on something i've never had before (monitor in general)

k*ma room is mainly white but the black border made me choose darker accessories to match so now black is officially part of the color palette all-year round to balance it outㅎ

had to get rid of one light source cause i literally have zero space so i'm camping out on the benq site until their monitor light restocks..for now i just look crazy having to take out my desk lamp when it gets dark cause it takes up space and there's no designated spot that looks decent

i was never going to regret this purchase because the colors on here are Epic and i watched all the films i spoke about earlier on this screen.......it was Great. 27in is quite the size and i was always someone who preferred smaller screens (formerly 13/14in macbook user) but having a huge screen is insanity because i managed to write this entire blog entry in one day when it usually takes me two to three (^ᗜ^ ) very efficient and neat to have everything on one screen lolol i feel like a software engineer who has every window open

no speakers needed either 

 also saved up project work just for the purpose of working on my new display and confirmed this is my new #4L....

i took my friend out to go pottery painting for her first time^^

painted a cup after this snack that we both used to eat all the time in middle school cause it came with a sticker each time but i fumbled so badly with the outline since the toothpick i was using was too thick..we'll see in a few days
