☆ Music Suggestion 05 - Frostix/Rizi/ClascyJitto

I know you might be looking at the title and wondering what I could be talking about considering this artist has three different names, but we will get there don't worry.

Like so many of my music journeys this one starts with accidentally finding a song on Spotify, something that intrigued me because of the bright album cover. This song is named Lovely . Something about it is so.. hypnotic and sickening in a way. The song itself feels as if its melting and it immediately captivated me, though its an acquired taste. I have some friends that reported the song makes them feel dissociative in a way, which I don't blame them for. it has that sort of quality to it where it feels as if you are dipping into the deepest depths of your mind and getting lost in it, unraveling as the song pulls you apart.

Now, why the three names? I know them by Frostix the most so that's what I am going to default in calling her, but each name is a different project basically. Her stuff under the name Frostix is more electronic hyperpop and I would liken some of it to being similar to machine girl in a way, especially Shadow and Light which sounds straight off of Machine girl's work for the neon white soundtrack. Their Rizi project I would say has a heavier use of sample work and is more so reminiscent of older games like Parappa. She is most well known for her work as ClascyJitto though, as that's what she produced half the Pizza Tower soundtrack under and music for her own up and coming game Kipidon, though I don't play Pizza Tower myself.

If you are a fan of hyperpop, machine girl, electronic music and old games with polygon graphics then I think you should give her a listen. She is an amazing artist and you would be supporting a small POC artist who has been making fantastic work for years and going mostly unnoticed.
