"Glow sticks break before they glow."

Is it an unwritten rule that mean makes kind?

Though not always the case to my eye, going through difficult life experiences may result in the person opting for a kinder and more mindful approach for everything life throws at them. It's remarkable that, even though it seems like it should be the other way (and sometimes it is), a person who has had it harder than others will try to demonstrate loving care to everything that comes their way, even if to the neutral eye, that to which they give love seems undeserving of it.

Not everyone who fits the supposition criteria will be like this, and that's okay. At the end of the day, isn't it everyone's first time living? For some, who knew it would be so difficult! I greatly admire those who have stories of courage, resilience, and heroism to tell, and yet, their beautiful kind personality still shines through the bleak foggy world we live in. It's these life experiences that sometimes propel these people, into get over themselves and become something bigger. It reminds me of an idea I've read that's expressed poetically; in order to truly appreciate the light, to become enlightened ourselves, it sometimes comes from knowing the darkness.

Does this mean regular people who've never went though anything hard can't "glow" as well? No. Matter of fact, if you have had the grace of living a life lacking in difficulty, consider yourself lucky, cherish your story, rejoice! There's no reason to believe you aren't worthy of being taken into consideration because you've had it easy; instead, honor that blessing by loving your life!

As for the rest of us, don't be discouraged. Your mistakes, your hardships, your experiences, they're all lessons to make you wise, and stair steps to make you move forward. Therefore, forgive yourself! Love yourself! Be happy! Soar!

Love, Adolfo.

P.S., it's my first time ever making a blog entry, don't know if I did it right because to me it looks exactly like something I'd write in my diary, lol. But well, if you made it to the end, thanks a mil for reading!
