I don't know if I should ask him to be my Valentine

I'm extremely nervous for Valentine's Day. I've fallen in love with someone I've known for nine years. I don't know if I should ask him to be my valentine or wait for him to ask me (50/50 chance of him to).

He's really sweet! It's so hard not to listen to my favorite music without thinking of him or not smile about the things he said. He's so dumb, like me, yet funny and smart when he wants to be. He claims not to be smart but I learnt so much from him! He always says he has "useless facts" stored in his brain but I'm always fascinated by every one of them at the end of the day since I'm a curious person. Anyways, he's adorable, handsome, cute, pretty, I like his voice a lot, I love his personality, he likes the same hobbies I do, and I just want to spoil him rotten. I'd love to spend the summer with him, I want to go on dates, I want to ride carnival rides with him. He's so cute, he's the person I want to do the cringey couple stuff with. I want to talk with him everyday or be in his presence. We recently started a Baldur's Gate 3 run together and he's matching names with me....AAAAAA....I'm so hoping he'll ask me. I'm also hoping Baldur's allows the players to romance each other.
