College, Struggles, and College Struggles (Part 2)

PART 2 (Read the first one so you'll know where I'm coming from)

FOR A SMALL FACT: My college campus is very small and a walk from my dorm to the nearest academic building is about 10 minutes, I usually leave my class 15-20 minutes before the class.

After I changed my major it felt like there was weight lifted off of my shoulders. Things suddenly felt lighter. My grades began to start going up, I was doing a bit better in my classes, and I was starting to come out of my depression.

The first major change was after we took the final exam for my class with my problematic professor, we never met up with her again for that class as it was only a one semester class. I wish it was a one term class, but it's alright, I didn't need to worry about having to go to her class and indirectly suffer the affects of her fragile emotions.

The next great thing was that a little after me and the friend made up and are cool now. We don't talk too much anymore but I'm glad I was able to apologize and tell him how bad I felt. I still to this day still apologize to him behind his back but...well, he doesn't know that. I mutter a small I'm sorry to him internally whenever I see him.

Lastly, once we came back from Christmas break the new semester started and I am now a Psychology major. Life is better now, I feel better now, and I'm less stressed. My friend groups are solid, and I made some friends today in my theater class. These past few weeks have been so refreshing and such. Usually I'd have band practice from 4-5 and concert band from 7-8:30 on Monday, but this semester I have concert band from 2-2:50 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

My only gripe is that it's immediately after my math class which is at 1-1:50, and concert band's time was just sprung on us so while everyone had a plan, me and another friend had to come up with something. I end up having to leave my dorm about 30 minutes before my math class so I can put my instrument in the instrument closet/locker room. But other than that everything is fine.

The next thing is my schedule.I finally have no 8 AM classes. Last semester I had 8 AM classes twice a week last semester. This semester I have 9 AM classes. I know, it might not seem like a big difference, but it most definitely is. Sure, it's only an hour but that is SO MUCH BETTER than waking up at 6 to go to an 8 AM. I prefer 10 AM classes, but 9 is perfect in my opinion. I'll take anything over an 8 AM class.

Anyways, I've been doing a lot better, and I'm proud of the new person I am. I've changed and fixed myself for the better and I'm glad that this new semester is so much better than the last one,

First Semester: 4.57/10 wouldn't recommend unless you're very strong willed.

Current Semester (as of now): 8/10, wish I hadn't had any classes before 10 but that's okay, this new schedule is perfect.
