I just had to look a term up that I was unfamiliar with, which is not all together rare for me, hell I'm self-teaching myself web development..the search engine and I are attached at the hip it seems lol
However, it pertained to a certain author and their views on certain things and the more I read, the more confused I became. I was confused because I was way out of my knowledge base and it sounded more like politics and just a big headache. But it's super important to other people in the fact that it's how they define themselves, and I get that, I do. Just realize that myself and others that are kinda new to this stuff are confused as hell.
(No, I will not be naming names. If that's what you want to know then you are missing my entire point)
Just know this:
On my page...
- There will be no talk about politics. That leads to drama and I hate drama.
- There will be no talk about religion. Everyone is welcome to pray to whatever deity they see fit. As long as you don't try to convert people on my page. You can cover yourself in alien blood and hop on your right foot 3 times for all I care. Just don't expect everyone else to do it too. (personally it sounds uncomfortable, but that's just me)
- There will be no racism on my page. Idgaff if you are purple with sky-blue polka dots and neon green hair. You treat me with respect, then that's what you'll get. Too many people judge others just by the way they look or the color of their skin. Seriously? Grow the fuck up people.
- Now here's the touchy one, I may write this wrong because I am a bit ignorant on this topic, so please know that it's not due to any disrespect at all. If I need to be corrected in my terminology or something, IM me and let me know. Be nice about it. Honey vs Vinegar and all that.
- If you are transgender, non-binary, poly, lesbian, gay, or any type that I have missed (again, Gen X here, I'm still learning) YOU ARE WELCOME HERE. The same rules apply as to everyone else. You treat me with respect, you get the same in return. However, I may ask questions, and they may come across as rude or disrespectful. They are NOT meant to be. I can ask duckduckgo all day long about something and still look at it like a math equation and go, "huh???" because it reads like stereo instructions.
- I throw away stereo instructions. Damn things are a waste of paper and make your head hurt.
- THERE WILL BE NO TOLERANCE FOR ANYONE BULLYING THE DISABLED. And just for your information, using the word, "autistic" as an adjective for someone doing something stupid is offensive to me.
- Using the term, "triggered" left and right about the stupidest BS, is offensive to me.
I am old school, but I also have an open mind. I see the toxicity slowly trying to creep in on here and I downright refuse to let it in my corner. I hate all people equally damnit, but if you need help, I'll be the first to try.
What can I say. I'm complicated. shrugs
