Sprung Back for Some Reason

With my previous entry gone, best way to sum up the absence was particularly due to spam accounts back then and I got fed up with them for a while. It does seem like one of the recent updates does improve on making sure something like the spampocalypse doesn't happen again, but I honestly don't mind using the block feature when needed.

I hardly ever find a decent use for this aside from just groups and having a Myspace inspired site to have a presence on. But it seems like the spam problem is getting progressively worse considering that I had seen similar issues on both FurAffinity and Weasyl shockingly enough. But it involves Mr Beast and considering the controversy surrounding this figure, I was willing to say it's fishy already.

Most of my journaling online is covered pretty well with DreamWidth since it's mostly just personal life updates and I can actually use my email to update it. My usual go tos for social media online has been Tumblr to a certain extent and Pillowfort. Sometimes I use mastodon as well but just to boost posts with rare cases of an original post.

I had considered giving my profile a revamping considering the vampire motif is a bit outdated. I had been jumping from one "aesthetic" to another. Whether it's old tech or kid core stuff, I jump around with it a lot. For the most part, I've been taking a break from posting a whole lot on socials (minus Pillowfort because...). I don't anticipate the drop off to be instant but maybe after a bit, I get bored enough to find some real life things to focus on more and not phone stuff.

What I want to do eventually is get some savings up for a PC so I can actually do some work with my defunct Neocities and Nekowebs backup... I understand some folks can and do use their mobile devices to get that task done, but I'm not one of them. Phone has been getting cleaned out in terms of storage. My usual backup storage was flaky and I honestly lost a bit of trust in OneDrive because their customer support was a constant Merry-go-round.

I am sort of reluctant to come back but since it does seem to pick up traction, wouldn't hurt to see what's new now.
