YAOI REVIEW: YANKEE TO CARAMELISER

heyooo! this is my first blog review (actually just a rant :,3). i'm making this mostly just for me, to maintain a record of some stuff i like or didn't like -w-" if u read thsi then enjoy! and if u want to share your opinion on the story feel free to do so in the comments!

SUMMARY: " Yasokawa Akito, a high schooler social media influencer, discovered that his classmate, Maki Naofumi, a yankee, was uploading photos of the sweets he had made, onto social media.Akito's influencer spirit is ignited, and he manages to persuade Maki, who is stubborn about not wanting anyone to find out, to shoot a video and publish it.Maki is cool when making sweets, and his face is cute when he gets embarrassed when Akito compliments him.Akito is happy to discover this unexpected side of Maki, but each time Maki releases a video, he gains new fans, and Akito becomes increasingly possessive of him even though they are friends.One day, he sees Maki coming out of a hotel room with a guy...?! "

 NOW. . . MY OPINION AND POINTS AND STUFF! YAYA 

 THIS PART MAY CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS!!! I WILL TRY TO KEEP THEM AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE BUT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! 

The story itself is pretty short so i don't have many things to say about it besides expressing how much i liked and enjoyed it to be honest. . . That shortness was also the reason why it didn't got a 5/5. . . A very petty move, i know. . . glup! But that still did not made the story any less enjoyable! i would even dare to say that it was very enjoyable bcs of that factor. Theres many stories nowadays that just keep and keep giving you information and plot so it doesn't end, which gets to a point where it really is just boring and annoying. . . cough cough kedamono arashi cough cough. . .WOAH WHO SAID THAT?!. . . Uhm, anyways.

Despite being short it was very fun and very organic! It gave u that feeling of actually seeing just two teenager falling in love in real time and not just reading someone's story, but it makes you want more once you get to the ending, left with that feeling that is not enough. :,,,3

Besides being very sweet and cute it also brings to face reality at some moments, the reality that Naofumi experiences everyday, with not only the stigma of being a delinquent, a complicated relationship with his mother and also being gay. The story doesn't show these things as super extremes, graphic or, more like, not taking it to a extreme but a level that is just right for not only match the pace of the story and still convey that mesage.

Another example of this is how Akito and Naofumi react to realising their feelings. As we know, because it is a very light story it does have a good ending with them together and all, which of course doesn't always happen in real life. However, with or without that good ending i still think it was well represent how Akito, not knowing better, tries to take it slightly while Naofumi, knowing the reality of being a gay man, can't accept that as a possibility.

I think all of those things were, most likely, not the main point of the story but just observations i did that made it very pleasant and entertaining! i 100% reccomend everyone to give it a try, somethiung to read in the afternoon to relax!
