Hey I just wanted to put this out there to iron out something, while in concept I don't mind being friends with people younger than me I'm starting to realize there's a surprising amount of people on here in the 13-15 age range, I didn't really care at first I've even chatted with a few of them who are cool but with how many friend requests I'm getting from people in that demographic I've decided it's time to draw the line in the sand on who I wanna be friending on here going forward (16+ people), I'm not gonna cutoff any people I previously added who are 15 but I also won't be adding anymore cause it's starting to make me a bit uncomfortable :v
TL;DR, please from now on only add me if your 16 or older, if your under that but we're already friends it's cool there's like maybe 3 of you n your chill but no more everybody going forward gotta be at least 16. Thanks for understanding.

I know that this post is from a bit ago, and I honestly just joined myself and I'm so surprised that there are younger people on this website than me. It's so weird, like there's nothing wrong with it but I also wonder, how tf did they find out about this place??
personally I found it through tiktok and I assume that's where alot of the younger userbase found out about it

true, i was honestly surprised to see so many younger people on this site, since I figured it would appeal more to the generations that grew up with mySpace (i'm still trying to get my mySpace era friends on here lol). I am happy to see so many younger people get into old web and coding as someone who teaches coding to kids and has a passion for a decentralized web.
I typically dont accept friend requests from people who are minors, but due to the demographic on this site, i've ended up accepting requests from mostly 17 and up. (I was really hoping to make friends with people my age or older, but it seems so hard to find people 18 or older, let alone college age.)
I once again don't mind too much because I work with kids and I am very used to being an older sibling figure, but it also means I have to be more mindful of what I'm posting, since by accepting friend requests from minors, I have a responsibility to keep certain content off my page.
Good on you for asserting a boundary. I'm sure most people will understand.

Thats reall ASF tho. I like looking at peoples profile cause yk people make it look cool asf but there's so many people 14,15,16. while its chill like do yo thang, still there's a lot of them!!
