Hey everyone!
im really into ethereal wave, dream pop, and music that could fall into the whimsigothic field.some of them mainstream, some not so much, and i really like to share good music, so here are some album recs!
1. Queen Of The Meadow - Elysian Fields
genre: noir rock, alt rock, dream pop.
this album is perfect, its a favorite. its dark and mysterious, the lyricism is touching and really poetic.
fun fact: the track Dream Within a Dream is an interpretation of a poem by Edgar Allan Poe!
which, in my opinion, Jennifer (the vocalist) did an incredible job at.
2. Insularia - Faith & Disease
genre: ethereal wave, alt rock
the first track, Perhaps... Persephone, is my favorite one. but the whole album is really worth listening. it has a slightly more instrumental and experimental nature to it then the previous one, but its beautiful regardless.
3. Within The Depths Of A Darkened Forest - Autumn's Grey Solance
genre: dream pop, ethereal wave
this one is a bit more mainstream, but extremely good. a dreampop Must! the vocalist has the voice of a fairy, and the instrumentals are quite haunting. if you like Cocteau Twins, you'll love this.
4. Treasure - Cocteau Twins
genre: ethereal wave, dream pop

i couldnt possibly leave my favorite band AND the founder of ethereal wave out of this list.
i have to admit, its really hard to choose one album to recommend when cocteau twins has the most
flawless discography i have ever listened to...
but here it is, if you're new to this side of music and you want to take anything out of this post, i
think it should be this band. my favorite tracks are Persephone and Pandora (For Cindy).
5. Through The Devil Softly - Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions
genre: alt rock, folk, dream pop
this is for my Mazzy Star lovers out there, this whole project by Hope is a blessing, but this album touches me deeply. the first time i heard Sets The Blaze was lifechanging.
this is kinda my first blog post, so forgive me for any mistakes. also, feel free to give me feedback or recommend me anything you think also fits the vibe im mentioning here!!
i might make other posts like this about music, films, fashion, art in general... who knows.
