I think I would be friends with a robot

Or more specifically, the fact that we very scared of robots. I know for a fact that I am very averse to AI. But there are many who aren't. I think I would want to be friends with a robot if I was sure it could think and feel and have empathy. But I think that's why robots today are so scary. They are very smart and can do very impressive things, but not because they like us. I hope if their electric brains develop concience they know we aren't the brightest bunch, and don't take our assaults on their autonomy too personally.
