What's up with Bayverse designs??

I'm really new to the transformers fandom, I'll admit it. I know nearly next to nothing about most characters and have only seen a little bit from what the series has to offer

And yet,,,

Nothing makes me more upset than the bayverse transformer designs

I think the live action movies are insanely impressive not only for the time it came out but for the beautiful CGI, it's insane to me that THIS came out in 2007!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

But that's not what I'm talking about, I'm here to specifically compare the bayverse designs to the g1 designs because they are STAGGERINGLY different

Autobots:

Optimus Prime

Personally I think Optimus' design is pretty good. I heard from somewhere that a lot of people were upset about the flames on his chest but there's actually a reason for this. That's because filming red cars, at least to Bay, was complicated. Something with the lights and reflection I think. Since Optimus is the main guy you're gonna want him to look good. The red flames aren't a bad look on him.

I also think the way his face looks is also very cute, he smiles very cute I love Optimus

Bumblebee

Bumblebee is MY FAVORITE character but I think his live action looks a little,,, weird? He looks like an old man. Weirdly. Bee is supposed to be the youngest, right? So why does he look so,,,,,,, old

And for some reason his waist is also SO snatched. Like oh my god girl what

I actually prefer Bee in his own movie a lot more. He doesn't look old anymore!!! Yippeeee!!!!! His eyes also grow bigger when he's around Charlie and I think that's literally the cutest thing ever. Another thing I really love is THE CAR DOOR WINGS!!!!!!!!! CAR DOOR WIIIIIINGSSSSSS LOOKAT THEEEEEMMM

I think Bees puppy ears are so cute, I prefer them more than just his horns. His puppy ears are also in transformers one :D

Ratchet

I think the green looks,,,,,, fffiiiiiiiineeeee,,,?? I dunno,,,, it's,,,,,,,,,,, okay,,,,,,,,,, I much prefer his g1 design. You can still tell he's the medical guy in live action but g1 shows this a lot more I think. I love the little red cross on him and his little horns!! I wish they put his horns on his live action design,,,

His face looks,, strange though. What's with the autobots and looking so old??

Jazz

I wish Jazz did more, he speaks like 3 lines and then Megatron rips him in half. I don't really like Jazz's movie design, there's just nothing,,, there? Nothing really stands out. His glasses are retractable I guess but I prefer them on. Just makes him look more like Jazz. His kitty ears are a lot cuter to me in g1 than in his live action version, his live action version just looks like he's gonna bite me if I get too close

Ironhide

WHERE??? IS HIS COLOR????? He's red in g1, why is he gray. On my first few watches I had a lot of trouble differentiating him from Jazz. Colors help me a lot, but when they're just gray it makes it really hard for me to know who's who
The deceptions are my main issue though. Just,,, SIGH.

Deceptions:

Megatron

His design isn't that bad. His helmet is very spiky and that's cool. One thing I noticed though was,,, why do nearly ALL of the deceptions have human teeth??? Sure they're all pointy n sharp but they're all slimy looking. I don't like it it's so WWEEIIRRDDD. I HATE ITT!!!!

Shockwave + Soundwave

Grouping these two together since they both have the same exact issues. They're just,,, undecipherable gray blobs. Shockwaves eye isn't even YELLOW. WHAT???? It would've been so easy to make Shockwave purple, and yet he's just gray???? And SOUNDWAVE has absolutely no color whatsoever. Why are they so bland,,,???

Frenzy

This. Is not. Frenzy. WHAT REMNANT OF FRENZY EXISTS HERE????? Frenzy also for some reason transforms into a radio?? Both him and Rumble are cassettes that fit right into Soundwave, why would he turn into a radio???

He also just. DOESN'T LOOK LIKE FRENZY AT ALL!!!!! WHERE IS FRENZY

Starscream

Sigghhhhh,,,,,,,,,, this design makes me so upset. And angry. And sad. And it makes me wanna bash my head on the WAAAAAALLLLLL

Not only is starscream gray, not only does he have the slimy teeth problem, not only can I NOT TELL WHO HE IS,,,,,,,,,

THEY GOT RID OF HIS VOICE BRUH

I know this is a design critique but it's just,,, Starscreams voice is a very big part of his,, everything!!! He has such a recognizable and adored voice and they TOOK IT AWAY!!!!!!!! AAAAUAUUUUUUAUYGGGGGGGGGH

But maybe I'm just over dramatic,,, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK????

I know there's probably more characters but ummmm this is all I wanna do bleehhh
