more ball pythons

I love my snakes so much. They make me so happy when so much in my life at this moment seems to keep dragging me down.Ā

Both my girls ate close to 2 weeks ago, so they'll be needing to eat again soon. My big girl Pandora is in blue right now, which means she's about to shed. This will be her first shed with me! So I've boosted her humidity and I will unfortunately have to leave her alone until she is done shedding. I may wait a few days after to feed her. And after their feeds, I will have to leave both of them alone for a few days. We REALLY don't want them to regurgitate, it's really bad for them. Luckily, in the 3 years I've owned ball pythons, I have never had that happen.Ā

I bought some stuffed snakes off the internet that are really big to wrap around the stand I have for their enclosures:) I also want to put some vines around it. I'm SO excited for them to come in the mail.Ā

To keep their tanks warm, I have dual deep domes on each tank. Each has a 150 watt and 100 watt ceramic heat emitter on thermostats , and a shade dweller uva and uvb light on a timer. I was getting tired of running 2 ceramic heat emitters 24/7 , so I recently switched to deep heat projectors. So far I love them, much easier to keep heat up and I only have to run 1 80 watt device instead of a combined 250 watts for the CHE's. Since it's winter and my house is cold, I sometimes have to turn on the spare che still in the dual dome, but in the summer it will do just fine on it's own. I may even switch out my dual domes for single deep domes eventually. I've dropped a lot of money on them though so that'll def have to wait. \

Anyways, I'm sure no one really cares about my snakes, but this is one of the few places I can talk about them as much as I want. :DĀ
