creativity and art block

Everyone who is slightly creativ in a way can propably relate to that topic.

Here are some random thoughts about it from me (feel free to comment on it and don´t mind my english lol, i´m from germany and even in my own language i struggle in writing):

In my opinion (atm, change my mind:) we had, as we were children, the truest form of creativity.

As we grew up, we learned how to compare us to the world and to the norms and we started to adapt to it (aware or unaware)

When we were young, we drew how we percive things with our feelings and not rational. Plus we grew up with a fasctination for the world, that we sadly lost (partly) over time.

The world as a kid felt like a surrealistic painting and nothing made really sense. So you just went with the nonsense (if that makes sense).

I think boredom is also a big thing, why we may struggle with creativity nowadays, because we consume content the whole day and are always somehow entertained or distracted so our brain doesn´t feel the need to have wild random ideas to entertain ourselves. We don´t even have enough time to process our emotions, because we´re just numbing them with diffrent stuff.

Atm i´m trying to reconnect to my inner child with making art, but i´m struggling in a way and i can´t stop myself with comparing it to others online, which is dumb, but doesn´t everyone do it in some degree?

This topic is also one of my reasons i want to become an art teacher, because i wish i had a good teacher my whole life. Someone who maybe would´ve thaught me, what creativity really is, so i don´t need to struggle now to reconnect to my creativ thinking and being :/

All my teachers were embittered people, who failed in the real art world and took their frustrations out on us children because of it.

I mean creativ thinking is important for everyone even if they don´t want to do art. It is so much more. It´s about thinking around the corner, learning how to express emotions in diffrent ways and seeing the world with diffrent eyes.

(to be continued...)
