DnD catastrophe shenanigans

I literally had my DnD meeting last night, and my character literally dies towards the end of battle. It doesn't help that my character is the only healer too. I've had this character for a year now so it was pretty upsetting to see her go - BUT the thing is my character is a vampire and necromancer. So when my party, in a desperate attempt to keep me alive, literally use my spell book (a book my character technically stole from a library) to transfer another life force into my character - LET ME TELL YOU how grateful I was that my DM allowed them to do so as they were grasping for straws, I was ;u; 

SO my character is technically still at one health, but at least she survives to see another DnD meeting!!
