Philosophical book recs

I originally wanted my first post to be an official intro, but honestly, I don't know what to say that isn't already on my page. So, if anyone has any philosophy books that they recommend I would love to hear about them !! I would also appreciate history, anthropology, and political (non-fiction) book recs, if anyone has any

i've always been very partial to julia kristeva's powers of horror: an essay on abjection. if you're interested in discussion regarding art, i also recommend sianne ngai's our aesthetic categories: zany, cute, interesting. for analysis, i've always been liked k-punk's work, though his book capitalist realism may be what he's best known for.

honestly, humdog's pandora's vox (and her other essays on cyberspace) is what really made me think "oh! i want to do this!" (https://gist.github.com/kolber/2131643). joshua citarella's work politigram & the post-left also left me with a lot to think about (https://joshuacitarella.substack.com/p/politigram-and-the-post-left)
