Before you read this, read the first blog for context!!
So I've been using Windows Vista for the past two days and I have been finding new apps to run and tools that makes Windows Vista better in 2025, and I cam across a browser made for Windows Vista and XP called "Superminum". It's a Chromium-based browser meant to allow users on Windows XP and Vista to run the modern version of Chrome on their Windows XP/Vista machine. I was intrigued and downloaded it to check it out and it really is just modern-day chrome on Windows Vista!
All extensions found on the Chrome Web Store work fine, all modern websites work, it really is the best browser. Best of all though... I FINALLY GOT STARTUBE TO WORK! Since it's just modern Chrome I got the ViolentMonkey extension and I was able to finally get YouTube to the way I want it. I set it to a 2012 look and it functions great!
I forgot to mention this in the first blog, but with V3 running on Chrome version 49, it worked, but some basic functions didn't work, like descriptions couldn't be expanded, auto-play couldn't be turned off, comments would glitch out, looping videos barely worked and only on rare occasions worked, but even then it was weird, and I think I mentioned this one in the original blog post but most videos just wouldn't work, it would give an error.
This new browser really has it all and is great for literally everything I do and definitely for the majority of people on the internet, too!
Again, if you haven't check out the original blog post
