gang I'm about to start my first ever job and I'm scared for it. i felt fine in my interview for it because i was so excited for it but now I'm hella scared. the position is a kitchen assistant at a nursing home :3

congrats!! i'd say be friendly, but don't be a pushover, people like being liked and if you meet people with enthusiasm they will more likely than not return it. Everyone likes to work with someone who is happy, it's always the worst when you're working with someone who's always upset, it brings down everyone's mood
There will always be that one person you cannot for the life of you like/ get along with, it comes with every job but just remember to not get swept away in that feeling and try to find peace within yourself
Mistakes happen! a lot! we're only human and when you're just starting out it's even easier to make a mistake so don't let it get to you!

congratulations on your first job!!
My tip when working in the kitchen is to listen and always ask questions. Dont attempt anything you dont really know because every kitchen has a different SOP! Wear comfy shoes that support your back. It may feel early but long hours of standing can get to you in a matter of time. In the kitchens I've been in my managers would always say if you've done all your tasks then find something else to do. Clean the small things, help with any prep and if it all gets too tiring take a quick break.
