ik i just posted smth but i need to yap

okay yyfyaefeygskudhg spoilers for basically all of tma(p) :PP

i juts started the magnus protocol (only fair way to cope with season 5 :'<) and I HAVE A THEORY

im only on episode 7 so i dont have tooooo much info

BUT i think :::

jon and martin are using the computers in the response department (or where ever the flip they work i cant remember) (also im hesitant to believe my babies are trapped inside the computers they deserve better) and are recording these statements, presumably the ones that are 'true', to call attention to them (they can't be skipped and are obviously set apart, being read aloud yk) and try to help the people of this universe discover the fears and figure out what to do with them

theyre trying to contact this world's equivalent of a paranormal research thing and trying to save them

!!! right

idk who augustus is (people were suggesting jonah in the comments? we'll see) so im unsure where he fits in

lowkey i thought he was leitner when i first heard his voice :skull

anyways yeah

the reason theyre using such old computer systems is that maybe theyre just old enough that, like the tapes, they dont have a magical allergic reaction to the statements like tech does usually

perhaps jon had some compelling power left and convinced them? maybe lena is 'in' on it? who knows

also i think the recordings we keep getting from cameras are from the perspective of jon and martin watching them

like we share a viewpoint

and this all came to me after listening to episode 4

them i did some thinking

and where, perchance, did we see an eye aligned piece of hard to understand tech that one individual becomes reclusive (i think its been a while since i listened) and deeply entangled with, having to do with cameras?

no where other than MAG 148, "extended surveillance" !!

could be nothing, id have to listen to it again, but there may be something there

anyways thats my theory
