Unfortunately i was late for the twilight fever
I was born in 2004 and raised with the "I'm not like other girls" mentality, so all I had was a bad impression shaped by the prejudices I picked up from Facebook fandom groups.
Everything changed in 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic. I was 17 and bored when my friend, who loved Twilight, asked me to watch it since I never had. I accepted, simply because Bella was my age and I had nothing better to do. I ended up spending two days watching the movies nonstop, only pausing to sleep and shower, completely mesmerized by how funny and strangely captivating they were. They quickly became my go-to movie for rainy days.
Jump to 2023—I bought a used Twilight book for 10 reais (way less than two dollars), but I didn’t think much of it until December of last year. That’s when I put together a playlist for the book and started reading it with my friend, who lives in another state.
I was shooked.
Twilight movies might be mid but the book is really and impressively good
I simply can't stop reading and i can fully understand now why they were such a cultural reset in 2000's, the movies can't even grasp how entertaining they are and with the playlist i created makes me feel i'm inside the books but i'm awfully aware how movies can mess up a good book, i'm a pjo fan after all. At the end of the day i'm already exited to buy the next ones (all of them second hand because i do not support Stephanie at all, boo boo tomato tomato) and my friend and i decided that we gonna create a 2 people book club.
