Nowadays whenever I log on and look through the top blog posts or forums, it seems like the only thing anyone has to say is that "SpaceHey is dead!" "Forums are dead!" "SpaceHey died with layout posting being disabled" or whatever. And my answer is, none of you are trying hard enough. It is our responsibility as the userbase to keep this platform alive, and here we are whining and whining instead of doing something about it!
The main fault (from what I've seen) is on the Layouts section uploading being withheld last July. Those actually uploading things on there should find elsewhere to do so! I've been mostly doing it on my blogs. I looked through the Rules section and there's no actual rule against this, so I believe it's fine unless anyone would like to argue about it.
But the actual problem is how many people left afterwards! Most of the popular and more active users all gradually quit SpaceHey, and I guess I can understand, but those who remain should be trying to fill the void they left behind! Be more active, make new people welcome, leave wall comments on your friends' pages, screw the fear of being called a "friend hoarder" that's such a stupid regulation. I've been helping out by making graphics for others and occassionally welcoming people with similar interests (I don't want to clog my friendslist with people I don't know anything about, it makes me uncomfortable and I'm allowed to have boundaries).
I've also been frequent on the forums, blogs, and bulletins to the best of my ability. Activity is the key to a sprawling social media community. I think everyone should try a little bit harder to be active on here, and maybe we'll see a change in attitude soon!

YES YES literally!!!11! l8ly I've been invitin sum of my friends or whatever (not many join n if they do they Rnt active EVER but still) and like!!!! I've been posting like crazy. and so have so mny other ppl . WE NEED 2 GET OVER OUR IRRATIONAL FEARS OF BEIN "WIERD"!!!!! we gotta make friends n talk 2 eachother!!!!!

Peoples brain are fried with short content they think spacehey should be like insta and I agree that videos should be here (but I know how expensive it is) but short content does not belong here
I think at most an image sharing forum would work nicely with all the other features. Videos seem like too much. You can use YouTube for that and embed it in a regular blog post. (Plus audio/video tags are disabled on layouts and blog posts so why a whole tab?)

literally people forget that social media comes from the SOCIAL aspect of it. It's not "content" for you, it's people.
In order to experience spacehey or heck even any sort of proper social media is to remember to be here for PEOPLE and make FRIENDS - not expecting this to be a distraction or alternative to doomscrolling
Hell if you get bored, contribute something to it or jus treat it like ur personal diary - it can literally be anything human
Yeah!!! You gotta SOCIALIZE on SOCIAL media. I feel like people forget that it's not just content fed straight to you but a way to network and meet new people.

i think a lot of ppl come 2 spacehey expecting everything spoonfed like algoorithmic modern social media webbed sitez--they lost a drive to really engage with the site and other userz on their own accord, joining 4 nostalgia of a time they mightve never lived, or yearning a retro aesthetic, hence many leaving after tha layoutz page disabling . i wish more saw tha value in a site like thiz, personally .
