Since I moved I've become scared of planes, even though before I was fine with them.
Now with all these accidents I'm getting more and more scared of taking one or a loved one taking one :((((
I also have a flight coming up and its creeping me out :(
I love traveling but eek this is freaky
does anyone have a way to combat phobias like these??

It might sound corny, but FACE THE FEAR, DESTROY IT LIKE A CHAMP AND WALK OUT OF FEAR LIKE A BOSS
Sorry for the enthusiasm and the tone, but literally overcoming the fear is literally experiencing what intimidates you, at least twice, because fear is coming from the unknown, scared by the unknown that might be threatening us and causing us to show the emotion of fear as our natural instinct, you should prepare more emotionally first, when you are on the plane, take a DEEP breath, pray to whoever you worship if you need (fictional characters worked too).
Based on my experience of travelling with planes, the plane will first be moving on the ground for a few mins, like 3 to 5 mins, then it will be gaining altitude for around at least 5 mins. During that process, the air pressure in the passenger cabin will get increasingly stronger. When I say increasingly, I MEAN IT; you will be feeling the pressure momentarily and it's normal, so don't panic; after the plane is stabilized, the pressure will be gone, and I suggest watching some pre-downloaded videos and shows, or play some video games if you have a portable device, or listen to pre-downloaded music you have, since there is no much you can do in the airplane because no internet.
Remember to turn on airplane mode, and Bluetooth is okay to use in the plane, planes r not dat scary; I have been on planes for more at least 5 times, and if every plane is guaranteed to kill then I might be dead 5 times already.
Anyway godspeed vro, if u get airsick, wear ur headphones and blast some music, peace :)
