Found You

The last few weeks, i've been desperately trying to remember the name of that MySpace rebuild from a few years ago, especially amid the total collapse of Facebook. Then, today, FB itself served it up to me in a sponsored post. Serendipity.

My login information was exactly as expected. If only i'd made a blog post back then, to solidify my OG status on this web site. Let's see...i have a spam friend request from Max Headroom from 4 years ago, so that must be about when i created the profile?

Ah! There it is, on the sidebar. "Joined: 4 Years Ago." My internet clout is secure!

So. Is this where we're setting up shop, then? Anybody? My plan is to remove Meta from my life entirely by the end of the year, hopefully much sooner. Gonna need to have friends here to have a social network, though, and there's nothing quite like Facebook out there at this time. I always preferred MySpace anyway.

Of course my user name is dr_ducks. Gonna have to see if i can change that.

Oh, it looks like you can't upload pictures directly to the blog entry? You have to hotlink them from elsewhere? Man, they really did rebuild this exactly like the early internet. I deleted my PhotoBucket just, like, last year. Damn.
