questions on cosplaying

HI SO

i wanna make my own cosplay of johnny cage from mortal kombat (more specifically his pink order of darkness skin in mk1) but im not sure where to buy the different fabrics? also im a broke student so if you guys have any tips on where to get fabric for cheap id be SO grateful

ive also never done this before, i usually get my cosplays on aliexpress or something LMAO so is there anything else i should get for my cosplay? (i already have a sewing machine...... though ive never tried to sew anything before)
