drop ur movie recs!

guys i don't really know wtf i'm supposed to blog about buttttt i was thinking a good place to start was getting some movie recommendations!! tbh i'll watch anything but i guess i am typically drawn to older movies. i absolutely adore audrey hepburn but i also luv movies set in the 70s (almost famous, dazed and confused, etc.) but hell i'd even settle for a movie actually from the 70s, why not! literally just drop ur fav movies down below and i might give em a lil view, might even review them perchance idk we'll see where the wind takes us!

if u wanna chit-chat about film, music, whateves, send a friend request!

ik it's not what you're asking for but i think the only rec i can do (that isn't some freaky gory movie bc for some reason that's all i've watched from the 70s lmao) is Hairspray (1988) it's a dark comedy set in the 60s and tackles racial segregation. don't mistake it for the 2007 film adaptation of the broadway musical based on this movie!!

also, since you said to accept older movies, It Happened One Night (1934), it's a romcom that is the blueprint to all other romcoms ever! its very slowburn but it does pay off greatly. it's available on Internet Archive.

if you don't mind the weird extreme movies: A Clockwork Orange (1971), Caligula (1979) - just a warning this movie features unsimulated sexual content but it isn't the focus of the movie, Belladonna of Sadness (1973) and A Funeral Parade of Roses (1969) - it isn't a 70s movie but it's just a few months short of being so I'll consider it.
-- as an additional warning iirc the only movie that doesn't focus heavily on SA topics is Funeral Parade of Roses, but this could be me misremembering so it makes you uncomfortable just ignore this section altogether lol.

I'll give u 4 movies that date back to '79 till '97 and are from the Sci-fi/ Sci-fi Horror genre - the og 4 Alien movies (Alien, Aliens, Alien3 and Alien: Resurrection), imo the first movie is a classic and the best in the franchise despite the visuals being a little wonky here and there, but that's just how old movies are :3c

I like films from the 60's mainly but I've seen really good films from the 70's like: Picnic At Hanging Rock, The Stepford Wives, The Holy Mountain, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Morgiana, Let's Scare Jessica To Death, Donkey Skin
