Okay so, my best friend just got out of a 2 year relationship with her shitty ex gf. But she is now talking to a guy. Objectively like, there isn't necessarily anything wrong with him but I hate him. I feel he's taking her from me, same as her ex gf. Anytime we've been together for the past week she just talks about this guy. I fucking hate it. I get so unbelievably upset when my friends get in relationships because someone else is stealing them from me. I know she wants to feel loved but I'm literally right here and I have been since seventh grade. She doesn't need these other people. Romantic or not, she can literally ask me for anything. I love her. Not like a crush, but she means so much to me. I'm not sure what to do. I think I might have an unhealthy attachment to her. Think of like, Needy and Jennifer, but I'm Jennifer and that kinda sums up our dynamic. Do I talk to her? Do I stay around her, do I pretend nothing is different? I'm not sure. I won't sabotage her relationship because holy shit that's a new level of unhealthy but, idk. Teen girl friendships are complicated.

Unhealthy attachment

It wont help you to keep your feelings to your self and let the tension build up.
if you decide to talk to her you cant expect everything to stay how it was tho.
Dosnt mean you should stay letting your self feel hurt.
(also sorry if replying is rude i can delete if you want)
I really appreciate the advice. I would just talk to my counselor about it but I don't seen her until like the end of February.
