ghosts go home

Delighted to say that proofs for ghosts go home were ordered today, & the book, from Oneiros Books at Black Worm Media Kollective, will be on Amazon soonish, depending on the crappiness of the postal services in various countries, though said crappiness is legendary in several of them. It will become, when approved, visible here, on my Amazon author page.

This book has an awesome cover design by Dave Mitchell, & I owe massive thanks to Emma, for whom it was written, for her incredible kindness in selecting me the picture of her beautiful self for the cover & for letting us use it. She is the best muse that one can imagine, & I love her forever. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that she, as far as I am concerned, is love, my goddess, & there can only be one.

After this book, I am at present almost rewriting, at any rate massively editing, both novels. I am also writing a full length version of my antinatalist manifesto too much human. I am doing it because of Emma, too, & this is the only book I have written with any political content & she makes it seem more relevant. There may be a third book of poems for Emma to follow up from ghosts go home, but I really do not know at present, though I think there will be. Apart from that, fuck poetry. I'm done with it. Anyway, all of these three rewritten & expanded things will appear via Oneiros at some points, in various part of the future, and there might be a trilogy of poems for Emma, but I don't know, though I hope there is. The ancient faceless goddess gets to decide that, gentle reader, & she's an unpredictable psycho.

Note that the cover will look like it does in this post, it looks brighter on Lulu, & will look brighter on Amazon, in order to print properly as a matte cover. I'm sorry, but I think that glossy covers are fucked. We know that the text is fine, I love her so much that I actually EDITED this fucking book, repeatedly too. but we cannot guarantee the integrity of the shade on the cover until we have seen the proof. So it's at your own risk. Go for it, though, don't be such a fucking pussy. At worst it will look like it does on Lulu, not as below, but I trust Dave's judgment & it will look like below

ghosts go home is David C. McLean's second book about his distaste for temporality, the insane goddess who refuses prayers, & his great love for Emma. There is more of a BDSM theme to this book, along with age play, pop culture references, less philosophy than usual, more sex. Inspiration, apart from Emma, is drawn from Roky Erickson, de Chirico, the Sisters of Mercy, Joakim Thåström, Gertrude Stein, phenomenology, & spanking.

McLean himself manages to just avoid pornography, although the lady for whom it was written states "The poems are becoming pure deviant pornography. Let it happen."
