before watching: this show deals with a lot of heavy topics, and deals with extreme war and violence !! warned!!

✮ The Good Stuff!

- season 1 is a masterpiece

all of the characters are so well written!! you are given so many reasons to care about each of them, the plot is set up and moves forward so well

genuinely watching the characters change so much through the course of the show is so moving

- insanely good animation, animated stuff with dynamic art styles like this one always impress me so much

fighting scenes, gore, emotions, everything is done really well in this show and it makes it PEAK

- the themes and motifs are so good and really moving

very anti-war, very motivational and building

i never thought a show about animated vikings could make me think so much about the world we live in, but here we are

"i have no enemies." was genuinely the hardest line ever 

ˊᴖˋ The Not so good stuff...

- season 2 is spotty with how much it really had me

I had to force myself to keep watching at some points, it got kind of d r a g g y

it's very emotional, and maybe i was just expecting more action and it let me down a little (please dont hurt me or my family)

I WILL SAY that the last 2 episodes of season 2 were so good and so well set up so it was almost worth it, but still...

- however the big issue with season two is that it can't stop blatantly TELLING me what's going on . SHOW, DON'T TELL!!

this shit bothers me so much. you are writing an awesome, sick ass VIKING ANIME and then you feel the need to cut to random narrator telling me whats happening?? at some of the most important moments!!! this shit bothers me so much, it takes me right out of the immersion
