UPDATE: Y’all I know I don’t have to put a label on anything but the thing is for my own peace of mind I want to have something to identify with. It makes me feel more like I know myself when I have a word to associate my identity with. The best way I can describe it is like buying this really interesting trinket at a garage sale, going online to look at where it came from and stuff, then just not finding any information on it. You want to see this things history and you want to see who manufactured it but you don’t find anything no matter how hard you look. Right when you think you find info it turns out to be something entirely different and you can’t seem to find anything on this trinket at all and at this point the only thing that’ll make you happy is finding out what you want to know. Being told “just let it exist. You don’t have to dig into it”, while yes it’s perfectly reasonable and good advice, isn’t something you’re very interested in doing.
