I found out about them through my ex gf. I've heard of them in the past of course but I didn't really listen to it much until she showed me the MTV unplugged concert. I immediately fell in love with the band and it's music.:3 When I listened to selftitled for the first time I was amazed. Especially by the song "Daddy". I myself am a survivor of SA and that song hits very close to home for me.
What I love about KoRn is their unique sound and their realistic lyrics:) I also just love Jonathan Davis!!! He's such a sweet guy<3
It was curiosity. One day i just played a song and never stopped listening. I think the guitar riffs are very heavy (mostly for the 7 string guitar sound), the bass lines of fieldy, the groovie drum patterns, and the expresive voice of jonathan!! Its a very complete band, also it was one of the mosts influential bands in the 90's!
Daddy was the second song I heard by them but honestly, it's what got me hooked. Jonathan is genuinely such a brave and strong person for still going after so much and even speaking up about it. I aspire to be as brave as him someday man, even if I haven't been through what he has. Started there, stayed for the amazing music and often relatable lyrics + Jon being a huge inspiration for me. Mr. Rogers, alive (both old and new) and my gift to you are some of my fav songs, but I can absolutely love nearly everything from their discography depending on my mood lmao. I could continue, but these are my main reasons for loving the band. Have a great day/night!
hmm at first my dad introduced me to them (plus he kept talking about how he performed a cover of blind with his band on stage), so yah i started listening to them casually.. but then i saw falling away from me's music video and that's when i started liking jonathan a little more insanely... /j
but seriously though, after that i started listening to life is peachy, then korn, then ftl, then.... yah so here i am now
My friend introduced me to KoRn and it was absolutely lifechanging!!! The first song i heard was Got The Life, which to this day is still a song i enjoy listening to. I think what i like best about the band is Jon's scatting/ vocals as well as the catchy guitar riffs! :DD
The first song I ever heard of theirs was 'Freak On a Leash' and I instantly fell in love with the way their singer sang it, something was very refreshing. And after hearing a couple more of their discography, you begin to notice a sort of playfulness in their delivery, I find it fun. You can tell they enjoy making their music and you can't help enjoying it as well.

for me, i discovered them through "Freak on A Leash" but very quickly became obsessed, particularly their self-titled album
the way they make their music, their influence in the Nu Metal genre, and their TOTALLY SICK bass and guitar riffs
their drums were also neat for me to learn since im an intermediate-learning drummer
