Went to a festival + Making a game in Godot

Festival at a nearby town

There's this annual festival at a town near me, and once I saw the advertisement banners hung up, I got really excited lol. My mom and I went last week and got chili, ice cream (wonderful combination, I know), and I picked out these novelty earrings from a vendor there. The lady selling the earrings was so nice! I'll just link her shop website here for anyone that's curious about purchasing some. :-)

Making a game

I've coded "games" before in Roblox (games in quotation marks because they really only sprout into mini projects with code snippets), but I got inspired by a peer to make a game that I can export into a HTML file so anyone on the Internet can play. I chose Godot because people say it was beginner-friendly, and I can say that, with my knowledge of primarily Lua, GDScript is easy to understand!

So far, I've coded a title screen, a cutscene, and I'm working on the second of four minigames. I'm also using Adobe Flash to make the image/video assets, which I'm pleasantly surprised and happy at myself for going this long without overly procrastinating on animating/drawing for a game!

If you know Godot, don't roast my scripting skills, I know it's messy. 😭
