what tips can i be given to better my chances?

feels like everything i do, every suggestion i take doesn't seem to matter when i am about to ask someone out. i wouldn't say my looks are the problem, im well shaven, get my haircuts, wear good clothes etc etc. id say i am pretty confident its not like i sit there stuttering and talking quietly either. im kind of at my wits end to be honest, and asking on here was like my last resort so yeah its pretty demoralizing.
