the 7 heavens.

I looked for you in the seven heavens,

where the soul ascends at the end,

each one emptier than the last,

an echo of what we did not know how to love.

In the first heaven, your laughter lived,

light as a breath of wind.

But it vanished in the breeze,

leaving me alone with the regret.

In the second, your eyes were stars,

promises I swore to achieve.

But the constellations fell,

and now its light doesn't want to shine.

The third kept your words,

sweet as a heavenly song.

Today they are dust in my memory,

silences that I cannot silence.

In the room, the touch of your hands,

a refuge that I thought was eternal.

Now they are cold absences,

the emptiness embracing my winter.

The fifth heaven was our laughter,

the dreams we forge together.

But the echo became broken,

and in its ruins I was trapped.

In the sixth, our promises floated,

oaths that seemed true.

But time took them with it,

leaving only fragility.

And upon reaching the seventh heaven,

There was no more to search.

I only found the shadow of your name,

and the abyss of not knowing how to love.

I loved you in every lost sky,

I lost you in each one too.

Now I descend among its rubble,

looking for an end to this disdain.
