In class theres this book we're about to be finished with that I've taken quite a liking to and would love to speak more about it, coincidentally its called "speak" by laurie something
its about this girl trying to face this big bad inside her, a memory, a person. i've finished the book and i really enjoyed it, whole docs filled with quotes just for me to look back on...
oh theres this other book, "I wish you all the best" by mason deaver. that one im still finishing , i found out they had a movie made of it which is pretty cool. I'm only on page 70 so im not too far in, I was telling my librarian about it and they said theyll think of choosing it for our next book board recommendation, that makes me happy. im happy a book i enjoy will be recognised. its about this person who comes out to their parents and is forced to move in with their estranged sister and start this new life somewhere else, i guess i liked it because of the way it felt so relatable and how they just pulled me in to feel all these things ive never felt or even experienced before yet it somehow made me feel those things, maybe its because im very empathetic but i still think its mostly their choice of words. my other librarian was showing me all the other books mason deaver made and i was kinda shocked how one person can write so many stories of people they arent, he said maybe he was a good listener. i still think about that question sometimes
I wish you all the best by mason deaver , book recs
