Dream: My main dream last night was apocalyptic of sorts. I started out in a random basement of sorts. Assuming context, it was my (as in me in my dream's) house. There with me was my dream self's husband, child, and dog. My husband had a large backpack and I carried a blanket folded into a sort of bag.
Moments in, me and my husband are trying to sneak out of these tiny basement windows, due to whatever reason, we can leave out the front door. We are quiet and careful when leaving these windows, as there are some odd looking people loitering about.
The odd people wear emotionless expressions, wander around seemingly aimlessly at first, and just have an odd vibe about them. Other than that, they look human. I quickly come to learn though, they aren't typical people.
Me and my husband are noticed by one of these people, and we're immediately chased by one. Nearby people join in the first, and weird drones attempt to follow us as well. We are only able to escape by running and attempting to dodge into abandoned houses unseen.
A few times this happens: find a house, end up in the basement. Gather organized supplies, and camp there until morning. This is also time the dog and baby are taken care of. It's sort of like a video game, like a check point between each run.
Eventually, we're nearing the outskirts of whatever city we had been living in. More and more weird people and drones are showing up, and they keep getting harder to outrun. During this outing, my husband sacrifices himself for our family. One of the odd people captures him, but I continue to move on as urged by him.
This next check point is different. It's a large, warehouse building. There are many people there, exchanging collected goods like food and clothing. Here is where I am given context by two ladies.
The odd people, are actually people replaced by whatever crazy organization is trying to take over the world. Once a person is taken, they are replaced by a visually exact copy. They are mindless and only follow order of the organization - which is to round up the remainder of the humans and take them in.
Here, I also find out my dog is able to sniff these fake people out. My dog proves this by sniffing one out in the warehouse. Because the fake person is found out, the warehouse is raided.
While running with this small group of the two girls, and this other dude, I'm told if I get far enough into the forest, there will be a sanctuary; a town that lives with nature and helps each other. This sanctuary stays untouched by the organization for whatever reason.
There is one more run with this group until I am separated due to the fake people once more. This run, my dog is also taken. It's just me and my baby, but we are in the forest now. The check point this time, is a cabin that is inhabited by two others, a man and a women. Here for some reason, it's rather vivid that I pick up lip balm and a camera. (Lip balm is something I am using consistently irl, and a digital camera is something I'd really like to buy rn)
This last run is hard. The terrain is extremely uneaven, the grass grows tall, and tree roots stick out everywhere. I come to a river I must swim across while keeping my child afloat. Despite the complexity of this run, I make it through, getting to the safe village.
There are lots of people, but I am noticeably the only one with a kid. The people around me are estatic that me and especially my child were able to make it. I am given a tour, focused on the vast food gardens, the communal housing, and the large pool behind the gardens.
I explore for a while, and take my child swimming with some other community members before I am woken up by my alarm.

A/N: I tend to have very vivid dreams that seem to hold at least a bit of plot to them. I also tend to frequently have powers/slight control over my dreams and sometimes even realize I'm dreaming. Apocalyptic dreams are incredibly common for me, as well as: dreams of running away, complex dreams of hopping realitys, dreams based in malls, and will have Fandom characters in them (lots of Satoru Gojo, Simon Ghost Riley, and Daisuke, lately. Don't worry they tend to just be there, nothing weird).

Extra note: Idk if I will update this super regularly, but I'll do my best to include my interesting/coherent dreams and my sleep Stats! Also I plan to blog about other stuff like book, game, and anime reviews!!

woah this weirdly feels like a genuine alternate timeline connected to the currently reality of things... likeee not in a crazy tin head way, but idk abt u, i live in the the east coast & recently there have been huge weird sightings of literal drones in the sky, (lmfao) the nj governor has still given no ideas as to where theyre even from,, & this whole fake people thing sounds like one of those crazy conspiracy theories that people currently spread around, which makes this unsettling in such an interesting way me thinks

I heard about the drone thing back on December!! I can't believe that there is still no info..
Sometimes I wonder if dreams are a peak into other Universes or realities. In the ones where I claim to be dreaming, most people in said dreams ignore me like I'm some crazy person so it makes it feel more real. Also a lot of people in my dreams tell me I'm not dreaming as well...

Actually I've looked into the reasoning behind both! Dreaming about running away tends to mean someone is running away from something in their life - physically or mentally. Having apocalyptic dreams tend to mean you feel you have no control over your life or have extreme anxieties over the future. Both tend to be true for my case.
