Test your RAM, kids.

I bought four sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws V 8GB RAM all the way back in December of 2020. Since then I have had a LOT of instability with my computer. I thought it was my GPU. I replaced my motherboard for unrelated reasons and it lessened, so I thought my old board was doing something to the GPU. But no. The problems kept getting worse especially after I upgraded my CPU, so I used memtest86+ to check things.

Over 6000 errors.

So I did what I SHOULD HAVE DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I took out every stick of RAM, tested them one by one. Two sticks were bad. For four years. And I didn't know because I am too lazy to do a simple test that took less than two hours of my time.

Don't be like me. Test your stuff when you install it. And don't use "ooohhh I can't get memtest to get added to the bootloader after I installed it under linux" as an excuse I know you have a flash drive laying around the iso is right there download it and install it and run it or so help me.
