yesterday I went to buy incense for an offering and the girl at the counter said I looked "effortlessly gothic." I got so flustered that I forgot what I wanted to buy. I don't take compliments very well because I oft disagree with them.

not even like a romantic thing, I'm just painfully self aware of myself so when people compliment me it gives me whiplash.
