I <3 flash, oughhh I love flash and I love the idea of a flash revival so u can go on the computer, visit the :3site that has flash and view the thing. Unfortunately the flash emulator thingies gobble horse chode and make my netbook want to curl a brick through an old ladies window because it cant take the STUPID SHIT JAVASLOP CODE ANYMORE!!!!
Ruffle seems to be the widely tolerated flash "revival" thing bolted to many sites that continue to host flash media, the first one that comes to mind is newgrounds. Flash was made for Pentium 4 class computers, old stuff, basic flash stuff could run meh on any computer made this millennium! Especially if they could decode h264 which any gpu made after 2010 can do. So why does Ruffle run so dam slow??!!
If I'm being honest, I've never gotten ruffle to work once but I don't need it to function to know its dog slow.
On my big computer [like an i5 and shit, 8gb ram] it just loads infinitely and slows the browser down to a crawl, on my netbook if I dare to load even a tiny flash animation on newgrounds, ruffle proceeds to use ALL of the ram, ALL of the swap space and hard freezes the ENTIRE FUCKING COMPUTER!! FOR A FLASH ANIMATION!!
I'm not just geeking because my computers are too slow [A 2014 gaming pc and 2010 netbook should be sufficient to run stick drawings made on a Celeron D but whatever], some guy on newgrounds tested this on his 10th gen i7 and 2080 super running a somewhat simple 3d test and got 13~28 fps when running it via ruffle in the browser. It used 8x more ram and around 20x more cpu usage compared to flash 11 and 32 which both ran at a locked 60fps. Admittedly the local Ruffle thing got 120fps but the same amount of cpu-ram usage as the web browser version but still, thats SHIT optimization, 13~28 fps on a modern i7!!!
I really know I'm not geeking since most of the posts I see online mentioning ruffle are littered with comments from people who know its a slow load of dog shit. I hope the Ruffle devs somehow see this rant and feel bad <33

idk if this could even b considered geeking out or swagever considering it soundz like it's putting Genuine strain on your hardware /3 haven't delved in2 flash emulation personally but damn that soundz mizerable
It is miserable, seeing gay little redditors make posts praising Ruffle makes the me [who is cool and sometimes :3 ] irrationally angry, I am going to serially experiment on the Ruffle devs if I see yet another Ruffle announcement/love post pop up when google "I FUCKING HATE RUFFLE" after I dont click the back button fast enough when I click on a newgrounds vid just for it to be Ruffle and I dont go back 1 page in time so IT LOCKS UP MY ENTIRE NETBOOK AGAIN GRAHAHGH
