car progress

Ive kinda decided that i want to base my blog n shit on my car and all of the progress that ive made on it. 

Ive got a 1996 ford thunderbird lx, I have the 4.6l v8 but it also came with a 3.8l v6 that could come with a supercharger on the sport model. 

Basically, i have the midrange version of the car. i have all of the sport suspension and brake parts, and a v8 thats faster than the naturally aspirated v6 but slower than the supercharged v6. (not by much really) you could also get a 5 speed mazda made manual with the full sport model, But i have the 4 speed automatic. (with overdrive so its still a 5 speed at heart)

The story of my car starts off one summer weekend about 2 years ago at the time of posting this, I had gone to my aunts house (who lives at my great grandmas old house) to talk about some random things. We had gotten on the topic of cars and i mentioned how my truck is an old pos, then she said "oh, ive got this old thunderbird in my garage, i think its about mid 90's. go out and look in the garage, if you can get it cleared before winter you can keep it". Obviously, i went into the garage and looked it over. I came back the next day after school and i filled her up with gas, checked the oil, put in new coolant and she started right up. No issues at all she purred, so i drove it home (illegally) and i parked her. Now she lives in my backyard, getting worked on every once ina while. Its really just my project because recently my father bought my an old explorer that is going to be much better for the winter. 

i would attach some photos but i really dont care enough, and i should have some photos on my last blog post. But heres a list of things i need to do before i get her on the road.

-new tires

-drivers side rocker panel (replace) 

-transmission service

-front left brake hose (replace)

-suspension inspection (wonky noise and road feel)

-alignment 

-wheel bearings

-front and rear rotor, pads and maybe calipers?

(extra tings)

-radio antenna (not hooked up to power, need to figure out how to make it extend when i turn the car on) 

-make/get box for subwoofer

-fix broken interior parts 

-finish sound system (pretty it up, fix hum, get the right speakers)

-paint correction

-order xenon body kit

-supercharger?

-PROPER cold air

-tune

-new rims (still deciding atm)

-big brake kit

-full detail
