starscape an introduction

so I've been worldbuilding a universe for a story I'm calling starscape in the last few days so i wanted to make an introductory text to introduce you to this world and it inhabitants so lets begin

billions of years ago there the was a species called the avalon they were an ape like species that lived on the super earth that has the same name the avalon had a big galatic empire due to their ftl travel see they managed to create a pocket dimension that runs on the brains of themselves called the starscape

the starscape was separated into 3 dimensions with the most important being the network that was a network of wormholes that let you travel to anywhere in the universe you can enter the starscape with the starscape drive with this technology the avalon quickly expended beyond their solar system conquering many planets and enslaving it's people unfortunately slaves are not a good foundation for empires so after some time it was quickly collapsing in a last ditch effort to save their race they sanded an improved version of their genes to the planet now called terra 69 million years ago

now let's jump to 1937 most human progression was very similar up to this point because in this point the Nazis have started their super secret space program it had 12 astronauts flying in 8 different missions the 9th one was supposed to carry their bomber space plane but Germany lost the war before it could be launched later the equipment as astronauts were used for project mercury

now in 1947 sputnik 1 was launched kicking the space race this was the most important divergence point because jfk wouldn't had his famous speech about the moon meaning nasa perused the concept of a centrifuge space station and because of this the soviets have landed on the moon in 1962 which let the Americans rush their own moon landing which culminated in the Apollo 11 disaster but it didn't stopped nasa from moving forward and building a moon base

now lets skip for a couple things because this is already too long and jump to 2057 mars and titan are long have been terraformed and independent and humanity had traveled through the stars and meeting other intelligent life some of what they find it friendly and some are very evil looking through humans lans and there is the borderline evil there 4 big warlords in this area of the milky who treat their people in 100 times worse then how hitler treated Jews so humanity decides to hide/keep a low profile that was like this until in one night an american attack ship got rouge and attacked a random world of the warlords triggering a galatic war
