Just need a safe space to vent.
I need time to recover after being screamed at and do not like people being anywhere near me in my personal bubble of space whilst I recover. Is that so bad for someone to say " you're not right" to me for setting a boundary after everyone is asleep? I honestly don't think anyone should have issues with me requesting space to emotionally regulate after a rough evening dealing with overstimulation as kids had a friend over and were so loud, and my 7 year old gets very bad separation anxiety when her friend leaves as they are best friends and it's hard as they are at different schools and it's a complex living situation for her being between 2 houses (her friend not my child).
I supported her and it took so much spoons and I'm all wiped out after helping her go to sleep and calm down and accept her friend is going back to her dads so we cannot see her unless at her mothers. it's super hard as there's court agreement days involved and i do not want to communicate with her best friend's dad as it was dv my friend the girl's mum had left. (emotional, and financial abuse) I hope when she is older we can chat and I can help her understand better. It's so hard and painful seeing her so upset when her friend has to go.
if i'm the problem tell me but i wish people wouldn't make me feel bad for needing to self soothe after so much stress and mental and physical energy has exhausted me. I have support needs too and it's important I accomodate myself and for me that's being on my own in the lounge room at my desk, headphones on, music loud, and being online for a bit before bed time.
I don't have any other way to cope other than just having my own space for a bit. Am I bad for that?
