tip number one: It's okay to change substyles! Okay this isn't really a tip but it's still important!
The first thing about gyaru is to be comfortable with who you are and what you wear!
A lot of gyarus change their substyles over time to feel more comfortable! Some gals like to do kogal---->agejo--->Onee gyaru because of their age.
I would suggest to dip your toes into substyles you feel interested in, do more research to see what you like most!
tip number two: RESEARCH!! RESEARCH!! RESEARCH!!
Remember, gyaru isn't just about loose socks and cardigans. There are so many gyaru subcultures such as Ora Ora, bamba, Mode that many people don't know about.
I suggest going on blogs like https://www.hellolizziebee.com/.
Gyarus like her are amazing at giving advice and she also has an article called active gyaru bloggers. Here's the link!: https://www.hellolizziebee.com/active-gyaru-bloggers/.

Tip number three: Save as much money as you can and know what you're spending.
Whether it's from something yearly holiday/birthday money or weekly like wages and allowances.
Saving is majorly important for gals. A lot of stuff like clothing, shoes, fake tanner, makeup and skincare cost a lot! It's important to buy stuff in your budget like dupes or cheap products bc it's easier on your wallet. Speaking of fashion, get some measuring tape and make sure to measure your bust, waist, legs and hips when buying secondhand not a lot of gyaru brands are american size friendly bc the people in japan are smaller.
That's all I have for now! I will be uploading another entry in few hours but right now this gal needs to recharge her battery with a nap and few snacks!
See ya sooooonnnn!
