Thoughts Day: 4

Today, not much was different. I got up early, went to school, and then overslept my dad's arrival to pick me up. Something about the constants in life takes away our time, one moment we're learning to read and the next we're almost upon our last year of high school. It's frightening, but everyone goes through it in their own way. In life, we go through so many obstacles that make us who we are, and who we will become. Regardless of our fears, we have to accept that, because it is undeniable. 

Throughout our lives, we lose people who are close to us, family, friends, partners, and acquaintances. We fall down, our hearts break, we have moments that we feel like we can't go any further and it truly sucks. Someday all must come to the realization that we don't live in a fairytale, that my dear readers would be wishful thinking. 

How many times do we have to allow ourselves to be hurt and belittled, before we realize that regardless of how others see us, it's our story not theirs. We have one chance in this life to grab it and take whatever chances are thrown at us. That varies differently based on the different beliefs that people have. At the end of the day, we are all human and we can be better than a bunch of high school bullies and yes that's a bit directed at teenage jocks who think they are better than everyone else.. However, we can do better, nevertheless.. 

It's our life, we don't have to be the same, it's best if we are different honestly, it's more interesting. So be yourself, and don't be afraid to reach for the stars with any opportunity given.
