Paranormal Investigation

I've been back on my paranormal investigation kick recently (I blame The X-Files). I dug up all my ghost hunting and UFO hunting equipment earlier. Maybe I'll go on a hunt soon, though I haven't really decided where yet. It's around $100 to rent out the fancy and secret part of my local masonic temple, maybe I'll do a hunt there some day. I'm a bit skeptical about the legitimacy of their hauntings, as the man I spoke to kept mentioning ghost orbs. Personally, I have yet to see a convincing example of ghost orbs. Most of the time, it's just dust. 

If I get the spare time, I'd like to check a nearby forest for anything noteworthy. Maybe some cryptids? I haven't yet seen the Dogman, nor the Nain Rouge, but I have seen a Not-Deer. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything in the main town I live in. Too boring here, I suppose. Although, now that I bring it up, one thing I've noticed around here is that all the local animals seem to almost watch me? As in, I see so many animals around here, and they just stop and stare at me. I've never broken eye contact with any of them, but they don't look away as fast as I'd normally expect. Eventually they walk away, after what feels like hours. Deer, cats, rabbits, and I think birds and squirrels? Those ones seem a bit more normal. It's the deer and cats especially, though. Cats in particular seem to surround me, mostly black cats coincidentally. We had one sticking around my house for a while that we named Grim, but he must have been adopted by a neighbour or something, because he's just gone, along with the bowls we left for him. Deer are always around in the midwest, but there's a hell of a lot of them near the two parks I hang out at. The ones near my house do the weird staring thing, while the ones further away from my house act more like regular deer and run right by me. It's probably because the ones near my house are more used to seeing people, but regardless of cause it's still interesting.

I'm hoping to maybe do some urban exploration when it gets warmer. Nuclear winter aside, I don't really have the supplies for it currently. It's not like I have the time for a second job or anything, so that's gonna be a slow-moving goal. I could always finally start streaming, but again, I have no time. I'll shoot for summer. Spring, maybe, if I get my PC built before then. My laptop can barely handle screensharing on a Discord call, so I can imagine streaming wouldn't go too well.

Honestly, before I try to find anything, I should try to find my voice recorder first. I set it down somewhere and it disappeared forever. Voice recording myself as I'm investigating would definitely help me remember my thoughts and observations a lot better than if I was speedrunning writing it all down, especially if I'm doing something where I don't have access to my arms, like driving or running for my life.
