Cardboard Forger Update: Buckler Shield

Ok, so, I kinda was gonna post more about the other weapons I made in the past, like Dreamer's Edge, but...
( I made a shield and Corinthian/Spartan Helmet ).

...my parents threw them out along with most of the cardboard I was saving up for other projects I wanted to make and some stickers I made from my own art
( I talked about them in an older blog post, art dump thingy )

Kinda sucks especially since the reasoning was that they were corrupted by evil...
( Was trying to get into spirituality/Hellenism and my mom found my tarot journal and "cleansed" my room by getting rid of everything even the things that I bought )

...and that they're shameful/embarrassing for my parents
( with the sword made I decided to make a shield and helmet for Halloween to wear around my campus and to trick-or-treat with my buddies in their neighborhood )

But they aren't the subject of this post, the real subject is that I'm unashamed in my art and I'd like to share it no matter what anyone thinks.

So here's the base for the buckler shield I'm making and some facts about them.
So buckler shields are small shields that can have a diameter of up to 18in ( 45cm ) long, they aren't for dodging arrows but parrying/protecting oneself against stuff like swords. Like if a guy's tryna swing at you, you'd use your buckler to block the blow. The base can be round, oval, or trapezoidal, and in the middle, they could be flat or have a lil hump like a small bowl's on it or be concave or just wavy. Super cool fact is the term swashbuckler came from people banging on their bucklers with their swords :D

I don't have one of those pencil compass things so I kinda just used math and the idea that technically, if you have enough sides a polygon could be a circle. Didn't cut it out yet in this pic but yea. Diameter's 11.6in (29.5cm), planning on making a circle buckler with a convex middle. And yea
