I need advice on hair dye

(please ignore bad spelling)

Right so I have been stuck for a while on what I should do next with me hair and what products would work best. Right now my hair is layered and shoulder length and have box dye black and box dye blue half and half hair, the blue side is more damaged than the black as it has been dyed many more times. I have been thinking about either bleaching the underneath of the blue half and then dying it neon blue or like dye the ends of the blue side and dye it a neon blue (btw the blue right now is quite dark) I have done a lot of research into neon blue dyes and I think I am going to use manic panic hair dye but I'm really scared of bleach as my hair is already quite damaged and you hear so many horror story's of peoples hair falling out or worse so I think I will just die the ends and then if anything bad happens I can just chop it of but obviously I would prefer not too so I have been doing lots of research into bleach but the issue is any bleach people recommend always says it will only work on virgin hair so I was just wondering if anyone had advice on what bleach I can use that wont damage my hair to bad
